After receiving several appeals from citizens complaining about the existence of "holes, some of which turned into potholes on the Beirut-Damascus International Road within the scope of the city of Aley, and these appeals did not find listening ears at the Ministry of Public Works.
After these “potholes” became a threat to public safety, the Municipality of Aley, upon the request of the District Officer of Aley, maintained and patched the holes at its own expense, bearing in mind that the maintenance of international roads is the responsibility and competence of the Ministry of Public Works.
