Green Your Screen event

Under the patronage of the Ministries of Environment and Tourism and the Municipality of Aley, Jarir company held the "Green your screen" competition at  "Al Resala El Ijtimaeya" hall in Aley, in the presence of the representative of the Minister of Tourism, Owadis Kidanian: Rabih Shaddad, Rami Ayach and a crowd of political and media figures.

The event was hosted by Katia Kehde and was launched by the National Anthem, followed by a welcome speech by the Executive Director of the competition, Bassem Abu Ghader, who thanked the attendees and sponsors of the event.

After that, the member of the municipal council of Aley Nabil Ghorayeb delivered a speech from the mayor of Aley, Mr. Wajdi Mrad, praising "the role of Jarir in organizing this competition." He also referred to "the great and active role played by the Municipality of Aley, .

This was followed by the presentation of an honorary shield to Deputy Mayor Samir Khoury, in recognition of his dedication during a period of 20 years.

Then a speech by the jury was delivered by Michel Osta, who spoke about "the mechanism of arbitration in the selection of images and transparency adopted to choose the most beautiful picture."

The jury, in addition to Michel Osta, included the artist Bernard Renno and the professional photographer Judy Lamah.

Then a special film was screened at the Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve, produced by Jarir and directed by Makram Al Rayes.

This was followed by a speech by the director of the Shouf Reserve, Nizar Hani, who focused on "the active role of the people visiting the reserve in preserving it, and spreading awareness through such activities, which embodies the beauty of the homeland."

Jarir presented a tribute to Ramy Ayash, who thanked the organizers and the audience.

The end of the speeches was for the patron and focused on "the active role of associations and institutions in establishing and conveying the beautiful image of Lebanon and the constant support of the ministry for active and targeted activities such as "green your screen."

Then the poet Talih Hamdan presented a poem for the occasion, and then received a shield honorary by the company.

In addition to the natural picture, Jarir honored three women who left their mark in Lebanese society: Wafaa Tarabay, Salma Sfeir and Amal Talhouk.

Then the prizes were distributed to the winners. The first place came from the category of the most beautiful picture of nature and the women's category, photographer Wissam Talhouk.
In second place, the photographer Elie Abu Nahul.
In third place, the photographer Firas Daccache.

The company's management thanked the sponsors, contributors and attendees for the success of the competition and the fixed annual event dedicated for nature and photography lovers .
