Under the patronage of the Municipality of Aley and with the presence of Dr. Mona Akl, representative of the mayor of Aley, Mr. Wajdi Mrad, Rotary Club of Aley launched the initiative of "Put your Plan into Action" cometition for the best community service project at the Aley Municipal Cultural Center. High school students, university students as well as fresh graduates have participated in the competition and came up with amazing projects that target the problems our community faces on a daily basis.

On June 10, RC Aley invited prominent members from the society to serve as members of the jury panel for the final selection. Winners of the first, second and third place were selected and awarded monetary prizes of $1000, $500 and $250, respectively, thanks to the sponsorship of AM Bank. In addition, Mrs. Lina Shehayeb has granted a $500 prize for the project she thought is more creative.

The winning projects are:
First place ($ 1000 prize+ rotary implementation): "Mobile Health Clinic" by Dr. Karim Hakim, Mrs. Nour Hamza, Mrs. Nermeen Aziz and Mr. Bilal Shayya.
Second place ($ 500 prize): "Farmers Support Center" by Ms. Mira Yahya and Mr. Wael Shayya.
Third place ($ 250 prize): "Children gaining literacy and knowledge"  by Jana Matar, Sarah Yehia, Karim Aridi and Yousef Wehbi.

The most creative project ($ 500 prize): "Women without fear" directed by Jana Abu Ghanem and Eva Khweis.
